Maharashtra extends e‑KYC correction deadline to March 31, ensuring women under Ladki Bahin scheme receive pending monthly ₹1,500 installments previously held up due to verification issues
Mumbai| February 11, 2026: The Maharashtra government has announced an extension of the e‑KYC correction deadline for beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, aiming to resolve pending payments for women who experienced delays due to incomplete or incorrect verification details. The move ensures that eligible women continue receiving the scheme’s monthly stipend of ₹1,500 without disruption.

Officials stated that several beneficiaries had not received their recent payments because their e‑KYC profiles were flagged as incomplete or inaccurate. The government clarified that the extension until March 31, 2026, will allow affected participants to update personal and bank details to restore eligibility. Multiple delayed installments, which sometimes total ₹6,000 or more, have caused confusion among applicants, though the standard benefit remains ₹1,500 per month.
The state’s social welfare department emphasized that women who complete the e‑KYC process successfully will automatically receive all pending installments. Authorities also highlighted that no additional application or manual request is necessary, provided the corrected verification is submitted before the revised deadline.
District-level officials have been instructed to actively support applicants with digital guidance and troubleshooting to facilitate smooth e‑KYC completion. Citizens can access the online portal to verify account details, upload identification documents, and check payment status. The government is also conducting awareness campaigns to inform women in rural areas about the update.

This initiative reflects Maharashtra’s commitment to safeguarding social welfare programs and ensuring timely financial support for women from vulnerable households. By streamlining verification and payment mechanisms, the state aims to enhance transparency and inclusivity in its flagship women-focused welfare schemes.
Social activists welcomed the extension, calling it a crucial step in preventing financial hardship for beneficiaries who depend on the monthly allowance for education, healthcare, and household needs. Authorities reaffirmed that continued monitoring will prevent future delays and ensure the scheme operates efficiently across the state.
