Major Cricket Infrastructure Boost in Pune as Punit Balan Group Launches BCCI-Standard Academy, Offering World-Class Training and Pathways for Emerging Cricketers in Maharashtra

Pune welcomes the BCCI-standard Punit Balan Cricket Academy, offering world-class facilities, professional coaching, and opportunities for boys and girls to excel in cricket nationally and internationally.

Pune| 06 December 2025: The city’s cricketing landscape is set for a major upgrade with the launch of the Punit Balan Cricket Academy, a BCCI-standard facility aimed at nurturing emerging talent. The academy, announced by Punit Balan Group, will become one of India’s largest private cricket infrastructures, offering world-class training to young cricketers.

The academy will operate from two premier locations Sinhgad College Ground in Vadgaon and the Lonavala cricket ground. Both venues will meet BCCI specifications, allowing official matches to be hosted from the next season. Admissions open on January 1, with coaching beginning January 15, and are expected to be limited due to the professional nature of the program.

Facilities include indoor practice wickets for monsoon training, hostels for outstation players, a gymnasium, swimming pool, fitness coaching, and comprehensive sports conditioning. Dedicated batches for women cricketers will also be available at concessional rates, promoting inclusivity in the sport.

Players will gain exposure through invitational tournaments organized via the PBG Judicial Cricket Club. Punit Balan, CMD of the Punit Balan Group, said, “The ‘Punit Balan Cricket Academy’ has been established to offer world-class training to emerging and talented players. With our facilities and expert coaches, young cricketers will get the opportunity to shine at national and international levels, contributing to Maharashtra’s sporting reputation.”

This initiative promises to provide a professional pathway for Pune’s youth, offering both boys and girls a historic opportunity to pursue careers in cricket.
