Pune | 16 February, 2026- A massive fire broke out in two warehouses in the Pimple Gurav area of Pune on Sunday afternoon, causing extensive property damage and triggering a swift emergency response. The incident occurred behind Chandrabhaga Lawns in the rapidly developing locality, sending thick plumes of smoke into the sky and drawing the attention of nearby residents and business owners.

According to preliminary findings, the blaze is suspected to have been caused by a short circuit. The warehouses reportedly stored decorative materials and wooden plywood—highly combustible items that allowed the fire to spread rapidly within minutes. Fire officials stated that once the flames caught hold of the wooden stock, the intensity increased significantly, making containment efforts more challenging.

Multiple fire engines were rushed to the spot by the Pimpri-Chinchwad civic fire department. Firefighters battled heavy smoke and intense heat for several hours before bringing the blaze under control.
