Shiv Sena MLA Samir Meghe refutes allegations by NCP leader Dinesh Bang of 200 fake voters in Vandonagri, accusing the opposition of fabricating excuses due to impending electoral defeat.
Nagpur, Maharashtra — October 13, 2025 — A political controversy has erupted in Nagpur over allegations of 200 fake voters being included in the voter list of Vandonagri’s Rajiv Nagar ward. The accusations were made by NCP leader Dinesh Bang, who claimed that over 200 names were registered at a single address, raising concerns of voter list manipulation.
In response, Shiv Sena MLA Samir Meghe vehemently denied the allegations, labeling them as baseless and politically motivated. Meghe suggested that the opposition’s claims were a strategy to create a false narrative ahead of the upcoming elections, driven by their fear of defeat.
The controversy has intensified political tensions in the region, with both parties accusing each other of attempting to undermine the electoral process. The Election Commission has yet to comment on the matter, but the incident has highlighted ongoing concerns about the integrity of voter lists in Maharashtra.
