MPDA Action Against Notorious Rasta Peth Offender, Sent to Chandrapur Jail

Pune Police take strict action under the MPDA Act against a habitual offender from Rasta Peth. Accused Lucky Willas Innker sent to Chandrapur Jail for one year.

Pune, November 1, 2025 – The Pune Police have taken firm action under the Maharashtra Prevention of Dangerous Activities Act (MPDA) against a notorious criminal from Rasta Peth, identified as 33-year-old Lucky Willas Innker. The accused, known for repeatedly disturbing peace and committing violent acts, has been detained for one year and sent to Chandrapur Central Jail.

According to police officials, Innker had several criminal cases registered against him, including charges of assault and molestation. In one shocking incident, he allegedly set fire to a woman’s shop after she refused to withdraw a police complaint filed against him. His repeated involvement in serious crimes had created fear among residents in the Rasta Peth area.

After receiving reports from local officers about his continuous criminal activities, the Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar approved strict preventive action under the MPDA. The decision was later confirmed by the District Magistrate, allowing authorities to detain Innker as a preventive measure to ensure public safety.

Police sources said this action is part of a broader campaign to maintain law and order in the city and to send a clear warning to habitual offenders. Authorities are closely monitoring known criminals and have increased patrolling in sensitive areas like Rasta Peth to prevent further disturbances.

The MPDA Act allows police to detain repeat offenders who pose a threat to public order, even before they commit another crime. In this case, officials said the move was necessary to prevent further harm and protect local citizens.

Pune Police have urged the public to report any illegal or violent activity in their area immediately to help maintain peace and security across the city.
