NEET-UG Application Deadline Extended to March 11 After Server Issues Disrupt Registration

Thousands of NEET-UG aspirants across India faced difficulties completing their application forms due to persistent server glitches, prompting the National Testing Agency to extend the registration deadline until March 11.

March 09, 2026 | Pune : The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the deadline for submitting applications for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Undergraduate courses (NEET-UG) until March 11 following widespread complaints of technical glitches on the official registration portal.The decision was taken after several aspirants reported slow server response, repeated website crashes, and difficulties in uploading documents while completing their forms. The issues led to long waiting times and disrupted the application process for many candidates attempting to meet the earlier deadline.

According to reports, numerous students visited designated facilitation centres to complete the process. However, several candidates were still unable to submit their forms as the system continued to experience technical difficulties during peak hours. Many aspirants were seen waiting for hours as the website repeatedly failed to respond. Education officials indicated that the extension was granted to ensure that no candidate suffers academic loss due to technical problems beyond their control. The revised deadline is expected to provide additional time for students who were unable to complete the application process earlier.

NEET-UG is one of India’s most competitive entrance examinations for admission to undergraduate medical courses such as MBBS, BDS, and other allied programmes across government and private medical institutions Officials have also advised candidates to complete the registration process well before the new deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.
