PCMC speeds up resolution of objections to draft electoral rolls ahead of civic polls
Pimpri‑Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has accelerated scrutiny of objections on the draft voters’ list. Officials promise corrections before elections, urging all eligible citizens’ names to be accurate.
Pune | December 3, 2025: With civic elections approaching, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has intensified its work on correcting and finalising the draft electoral rolls. Municipal officials have been instructed to resolve all objections and suggestions without delay so that every eligible citizen is accurately listed.
During a recent review meeting, senior officers examined the status of pending objections, ward-wise voter distribution and the readiness of polling stations. The administration is also working on temporary booths wherever required, ensuring accessibility for all voters. Officials noted that common issues include missing names, incorrect ward allocation and duplicate entries, all of which are now being prioritised for verification.
PCMC has urged citizens to check their voter-roll details at the earliest. Residents who spot missing or incorrect information are encouraged to file objections so they can be addressed before the final list is published. The corporation aims to release a clean, updated and error-free voters’ roll well in advance of polling day.
Election officers emphasised that a transparent and accurate voter list is essential for smooth polling and for maintaining public trust in the electoral process. The administration believes that resolving objections swiftly will help avoid confusion during elections and improve the overall voting experience for residents.
The corporation is expected to complete the verification drive soon, after which the final electoral roll will be prepared and released for public reference.
