Pimpri Chinchwad Chief Pulls Up Officials for Late Attendance, Pushes for Discipline and Paperless Governance

Pimpri Chinchwad civic chief has warned officials over punctuality and stressed cleaner offices, transparency, and digital work systems, with a follow-up inspection planned in 15 days

Pimpri Chinchwad | 19 March, 2026: Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dr. Vijay Suryavanshi has issued strict instructions to officials and staff to maintain punctuality and ensure disciplined functioning across departments.

During a surprise inspection of various departments at the main administrative building on Monday morning, the commissioner observed that several senior officials were not present at their desks. Taking note of the lapse, he warned staff to report on time and adhere to office discipline.

Dr. Suryavanshi emphasised the need for a clean, organised, and efficient work environment. He directed departments to remove old files and unnecessary paperwork immediately to improve workspace management. Stressing the importance of digital transformation, he instructed officials to increase the use of technology and move towards paperless administration.

The commissioner also reviewed daily operations, pending cases, and the handling of public complaints. He interacted directly with staff to understand operational challenges, including manpower shortages and technical requirements, while urging better coordination between departments for smoother and faster service delivery.Officials present during the inspection included Additional Commissioner Manoj Lonkar, Chief Engineer Pramod Ombhase, and other senior officers.

Highlighting citizen experience, Dr. Suryavanshi stated that the goal is to create a positive and efficient administrative environment where residents can access services with ease and trust. He announced that another inspection will be conducted after 15 days to review compliance with the directives, and similar checks will soon be extended to ward offices.
