Pimpri Chinchwad, September 19, 2025 — The Pimpri Chinchwad State Excise Department has reported significant progress in its fight against the illegal liquor trade during the first eight months of 2025, highlighting strong enforcement and coordinated action.
Key Statistics (January 1 – August 31, 2025)
Cases Registered: 1,311
Individuals Arrested: 1,618
Convictions Secured: 38
Vehicles Seized: 54, valued at ₹1.21 crore
Total Seized Property: ₹3.86 crore
Deputy Superintendent Sujit Patil praised the work of the department’s 54-member team, describing the results as “a testament to the dedicated and tireless efforts of all our officers and staff.” Patil emphasized that the achievements demonstrate the department’s “unwavering commitment to taking deterrent action against the illicit liquor trade.”

Patil also appealed to the public to remain alert and promptly report any suspicious activities related to illegal alcohol sales. “Citizen cooperation is vital for sustaining this momentum,” he added.
The department expressed gratitude to residents for their continued support and assured that the crackdown on the illicit liquor network will remain a top priority for the rest of the year.
