Main fund distribution ceremony to be held in Guwahati, with Ahilyanagar district having the highest number of beneficiaries under the scheme

Pune | 11 March, 2026: The 22nd installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi will be credited to farmers’ accounts on Friday, 13 March 2026. According to the Agriculture Department, a total of 91,18,831 farmers in Maharashtra are eligible for this installment. The central distribution ceremony will be held in Guwahati, Assam, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while state-level arrangements are currently underway.

The previous 21st installment was disbursed in November 2025, marking a gap of nearly four months before the 22nd installment. The delay coincided with the schedule of upcoming assembly elections in various states, with officials confirming that the current installment aligns with election timing considerations.

Among the districts, Ahilyanagar tops the list with 5,45,280 eligible farmers, followed by Solapur (4,92,441), Kolhapur (4,64,869), Satara (4,38,668), and Pune (4,33,706). This installment sees an increase of 1,02,590 farmers compared to the 21st installment, which had 90,41,241 beneficiaries.

State authorities confirmed that preparations for distributing funds at district and local levels are in progress, ensuring that eligible farmers receive the financial support directly in their accounts. This installment will provide much-needed relief to farmers ahead of key agricultural activities and upcoming elections.
