PMPML Introduces Special Bus Travel Arrangements for Students During SSC, HSC Exams

Pune’s PMPML has announced dedicated travel facilities for students appearing in the Class 10 (SSC) and Class 12 (HSC) board examinations, starting February 20 and February 10 respectively, to ensure smooth and stress-free commuting

Pune| February 11, 2026: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has rolled out special measures aimed at providing safe, convenient, and hassle-free travel for students during the board exams. Officials said students with valid PMPML bus passes will be able to travel between their homes and examination centres without purchasing separate tickets for the duration of the exams.

In addition, students will be allowed to board buses from the front entrance, reducing boarding time during peak morning hours. PMPML will also deploy officers and supervisory staff at key bus stops to prioritise exam-going students and ensure orderly boarding.

Schools and colleges have been requested to inform PMPML in advance if large groups of students are expected from particular areas. Based on this information, the transport body will deploy additional buses on high-demand routes to accommodate increased passenger flow.

A senior PMPML official stated that the initiative reflects the organisation’s commitment to supporting students during a critical academic phase, helping them focus on examinations without worrying about travel delays.

Parents and students have welcomed the announcement, noting that the special arrangements will significantly ease commuting concerns during the board exams and reduce overcrowding on buses.
