PMRDA extends e-tender process for Pavana and Indrayani river pollution control project

PMRDA has extended the e-tender timeline for appointing contractors for Pavana and Indrayani river pollution control after revising tender conditions to allow wider participation.

Pimpri | 03 February, 2026:The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has extended the e-tender process for appointing contractors for pollution control projects of the Pavana and Indrayani rivers. The decision follows revisions made to the tender conditions to ensure participation of eligible and experienced contractors.

According to PMRDA officials, online tenders have been invited for the Indrayani River Pollution Control Project through the MahaTenders portal. The authority stated that the revised tender framework would facilitate wider participation and improve the quality of implementation for this environmentally significant project.

Pollution in the Pavana and Indrayani rivers has been affecting ecological balance and has also raised concerns regarding public health in surrounding areas. Considering the growing environmental impact, PMRDA has identified river cleaning, sewage management and environmental conservation as key objectives of the project.

The tender document download process will begin from Friday, February 6, at 5:00 PM. The last date for submission of bids has been fixed as February 26, 2026, up to 5:00 PM. PMRDA has clarified that changes in conditions and timelines have been made where necessary and that all further updates or corrigenda related to the e-tender process will be published exclusively on the MahaTenders portal.

The entire tender process will be monitored by the Chief Engineer (Engineering Department–2) under PMRDA, Pune Metropolitan Region. The authority has appealed to contractors with the required technical expertise and qualifications to actively participate in the tender process to support sustainable river pollution control efforts.
