Pune | 29 March, 2026: In a bid to transform Pune into a major cultural and tourism hub, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has unveiled an ambitious budget for 2026–27 with a strong focus on heritage-based tourism projects. Among the أبرز announcements are the construction of a glass bridge at Sarasbaug and a ropeway connecting Sarasbaug to Parvati Hill, aimed at enhancing visitor experience and improving accessibility.

According to civic officials, the proposed ropeway project will offer a convenient and eco-friendly mode of transport for tourists visiting Parvati Hill, one of Pune’s prominent and historical landmarks. The initiative is expected to reduce travel time and provide a unique aerial view of the city, thereby increasing tourist footfall in the area.

The glass bridge at Sarasbaug is envisioned as a major attraction, combining modern design with scenic surroundings. The project is likely to create a new experiential space for visitors, adding to the appeal of one of Pune’s most popular recreational and cultural spots.
