PMC has started Sahaj Parivartan Kaksh, a dedicated unit to enhance urban infrastructure, coordinate departments, and accelerate road, pedestrian, and cleanliness projects, aiming to complete key improvements by end of 2026


Pune|05 February 2026:Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has unveiled a new initiative, Sahaj Parivartan Kaksh (Easy Transformation Cell), aimed at improving city infrastructure and ensuring better coordination among departments. The first meeting was held on 5 February 2026, attended by key PMC officials to define priorities and set targets for the year.

The unit will focus on road repairs, pedestrian pathways, public cleanliness, and inter-departmental coordination long-standing issues affecting Pune residents. PMC Commissioner Nawal Kishore Ram stated that this initiative seeks to address citizen grievances faster, enhance civic service efficiency, and improve overall urban living conditions. The plan aims to see visible improvements in infrastructure by the end of 2026.Inspired by successful coordination during events like the Pune Grand Tour cycling competition, Sahaj Parivartan Kaksh is designed to replicate cross-departmental collaboration in routine municipal operations. Monthly review meetings will monitor the progress of ongoing projects, identify bottlenecks, and streamline decision-making.

Key focus areas include repairing damaged roads and potholes, upgrading footpaths for pedestrian safety, maintaining cleanliness in public spaces, and ensuring efficient allocation of municipal resources. Officials believe that structured oversight will significantly reduce delays and improve the quality of public works.Residents and urban planners have welcomed the initiative, emphasizing the importance of transparent governance and accountability. As the Sahaj Parivartan Kaksh progresses, success will be measured by the tangible improvement in Pune’s roads, footpaths, public hygiene, and citizen satisfaction.
