Forgery Charges Invoked Against Rajendra Goel and Others in Alleged Fake ULC Orders Case
Rajendra Goel ULC case
EOW Pune has invoked forgery provisions under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against Rajendra Goel and others in the alleged fake Urban Land Ceiling documents case linked to land transactions.
Pune | 27 February, 2026:The probe into the alleged use of fabricated Urban Land Ceiling (ULC) documents has intensified, with the Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Pune adding forgery-related offences against Rajendra Goel and several others. The investigating team believes that documents presented as official ULC orders during certain land transactions were forged.
Following these findings, police have invoked provisions under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, specifically Sections 340(2) and 336(3), which deal with the creation of forged documents and the use of forged documents as genuine.
According to investigating officials, the accused allegedly used fabricated documents to support and legitimise land transactions connected to the case. This development marks a significant stage in the investigation, as the inclusion of forgery provisions brings the focus directly on the alleged manipulation of official government records.
Officials further indicated that the probe has uncovered multiple inconsistencies in the documents submitted by the accused, prompting the addition of forgery-related charges. Authorities are continuing to examine the extent of the alleged fraud and whether additional individuals or transactions may be linked to the case.
