A key attraction of the venue is its lotus-shaped, state-of-the-art museum spanning about 98,000 square feet, featuring immersive displays that chronicle India’s journey through freedom, governance, and public service. The museum combines interactive and digital technologies to engage visitors with the life stories and philosophies of celebrated leaders, positioning the site as a destination for students, citizens, and international visitors interested in India’s leadership legacy. The inauguration ceremony drew a large gathering, with officials estimating a turnout of over 1.5 lakh attendees, including dignitaries, civil society members, and citizens from across Uttar Pradesh. Security was tightened with thousands of police personnel deployed, supported by aerial surveillance and crowd-management protocols to ensure safety and smooth operations throughout the event.

Prime Minister Modi, speaking at the launch, described the Rashtra Prerna Sthal as a permanent national asset that will foster leadership values and inspire future generations to uphold the principles of public service and national pride. He highlighted the importance of commemorating leaders whose vision helped shape modern India’s political and socio-economic contours, reaffirming the government’s focus on preserving and promoting historical legacies.

The inauguration also featured cultural programmes, public addresses, and tributes to the ideals of unity and development that leaders like Vajpayee championed throughout their careers. Visitors explored the museum, landscaped parks, meditation zones, and amphitheatre spaces designed to encourage reflection and community engagement. As the Rashtra Prerna Sthal opens its doors to the public, officials say it will serve both as a site of historical remembrance and a vibrant centre for education, civic reflection, and cultural exchange, adding to Lucknow’s significance as a centre of heritage and national pride.
