Schoolboy Injured In Sharp Weapon Attack At Maharshinagar PMPML Bus Stop, Pune

Pune | December 3, 2025: A shocking incident unfolded recently at a PMPML bus stop in Maharshinagar, Pune, when a 14-year-old schoolboy was attacked with a sharp weapon following a brief verbal exchange with an unidentified man. The assailant fled the scene along with two companions, prompting immediate action from the Swargate Police.

The victim, waiting near Pujari Udyan after school, sustained minor injuries to his hand but was able to alert nearby citizens, who quickly informed authorities. Senior Inspector Yashwant Nikam and Crime Branch Inspector Vikas Bharamal reached the scene to assess the situation. Sub-Inspector B. P. Shirsat is leading the ongoing investigation, with teams analysing CCTV footage from surrounding areas to identify the attackers.

Officials noted that the incident bears similarities to a stabbing of a student in Bhavani Peth last year, which led to the detainment of youths for attempted murder. Authorities are closely examining whether there is any connection between the cases.

Police have urged citizens to remain vigilant, particularly around school zones and public transport stops. Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activity immediately to assist with the investigation. The Swargate Police have confirmed that efforts are ongoing to track down the suspects and ensure safety in the area.
