Shocking Robbery in Palghar: Gunfire at Boisar Jewellers, Robbers Loot Gold Even After Dropping Gun

Two armed robbers opened fire at Chaturbhuj Jewellers in Palghar’s Boisar area and looted gold ornaments. The entire heist was caught on CCTV. Police have launched an intensive search for the accused.

Palghar, October 31, 2025 – Panic spread in Boisar’s Ganeshnagar area after two unidentified armed robbers opened fire at Chaturbhuj Jewellers in broad daylight and looted gold ornaments worth several lakhs. The dramatic incident, which looked straight out of a “Money Heist” scene, was captured on CCTV cameras inside the shop.

According to police reports, the two robbers entered the jewellery shop around noon and threatened the owner at gunpoint. When the shop owner tried to resist, one of the robbers fired two rounds. Fortunately, no one was injured in the shooting. In the chaos, the robbers’ revolver slipped from their hands, but they still managed to grab the gold and flee on a two-wheeler.

Boisar Police reached the scene within minutes and seized the revolver left behind. Superintendent of Police Yatish Deshmukh said, “The robbers opened fire while attempting the heist, but thankfully, there was no loss of life. Forensic and Crime Branch teams have been dispatched to different locations, and a manhunt is underway.”

CCTV footage clearly shows the two suspects escaping on a motorbike, with several citizens chasing after them. Police are analyzing the footage and believe arrests will be made soon. The incident has created fear among local traders, and police have increased patrolling and security across the area.

Forensic experts have joined the investigation to examine the recovered weapon and other evidence from the spot. Authorities have urged shop owners to install advanced CCTV systems and emergency alarms to prevent such attacks.

The broad daylight firing and robbery have sent shockwaves through the Boisar area, with residents demanding strict police action and stronger crime control measures in the district.
