Southern Command Chief Reviews Exercise ‘Akhand Prahar’ Under Tri-Services Trishul, Showcases Next-Gen Battlefield Readiness

Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth reviewed Exercise Akhand Prahar under Trishul, highlighting joint force synergy, indigenous innovations, and next-gen technologies as part of the Indian Army’s drive toward Atmanirbharta and operational excellence.

Pune | November 11, 2025:  Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, reviewed the operational preparedness of the Konark Corps during Exercise Akhand Prahar, held as a key component of the Tri-Services Exercise Trishul. The large-scale exercise aimed to validate the Indian Army’s ability to conduct integrated, multi-domain operations in coordination with the Indian Air Force.

During his visit, the Army Commander observed Combined Arms manoeuvres that demonstrated advanced inter-service coordination, refined tactics, and the employment of next-generation battlefield systems, including drones and counter-drone technologies. The exercise acted as a real-time testing platform for newly inducted systems and indigenous innovations under realistic field conditions.

Lt Gen Seth also reviewed battlefield innovations developed by the Battle Axe Division and Konark Corps, featuring indigenous drones, counter-drone systems, and enhanced force protection technologies. These efforts underscore the Army’s growing focus on Atmanirbharta and self-reliance through innovation at the formation level.

The Army Commander praised the formations for their technological adaptability and high operational standards, emphasizing that Exercise Akhand Prahar reflects the Indian Army’s core mantra of Jointness, Atmanirbharta, and Innovation (JAI). The exercise highlights the Southern Command’s pivotal role in driving transformation through synergy, technology infusion, and multi-domain preparedness, ensuring mission readiness for future battlefields.
