Pune Police arrested three Nashik residents for duping a couple of ₹13.20 crore under the pretext of spiritual healing. Two suspects are still under investigation as the probe continues.

Pune | November 7, 2025: The Pune City Police have arrested three individuals Vedika Pandharpurkar, Kunal Pandharpurkar, and Deepak Khadke — from Nashik for allegedly cheating a Pune-based couple of ₹13.20 crore under the guise of offering a “spiritual cure” for their daughters’ illness. The arrests were confirmed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 3) Sambhaji Kadam.

The case was registered at Kothrud Police Station against five accused. As per the complaint, Deepak Dolas (57), a former IT engineer who returned from England in 2010 seeking treatment for his two daughters, met the accused in 2018 through a local Bhajani Mandal.

Police said Vedika Pandharpurkar allegedly convinced the couple that their daughters’ illness was connected to their “accumulated wealth” and insisted that they sell their properties to conduct “spiritual cleansing” rituals. Trusting her claims, the couple sold assets worth nearly ₹14 crore, including a duplex in England, a farmhouse, and land in Konkan and Saswad, transferring the proceeds to the accused.

After no improvement in their daughters’ health, the couple realized the fraud and filed a complaint. Police have arrested three accused, while two others remain under investigation. The probe is now focused on tracking the money trail and identifying other possible accomplices.
