The stolen items, including cash, credit cards, and jewelry, amounted to approximately Rs 4.25 lakh.
The arrests were made following a series of complaints from commuters who reported missing valuables during their bus journeys. Investigations revealed that the women operated in groups, taking advantage of the crowded conditions in the buses to discreetly steal from unsuspecting passengers.
The police acted swiftly upon receiving the complaints, setting up surveillance and conducting undercover operations. Their efforts led to the identification and subsequent arrest of the three women, who have been charged with theft and conspiracy.
