Pune | December 13, 2025: With the Pune National Book Festival scheduled at Ferguson College Ground, city traffic authorities have implemented temporary diversions and restrictions on Ferguson College Road and surrounding areas to ensure smooth vehicle movement during the nine-day event. The festival, running from December 13 to 21, is expected to draw nearly nine to ten lakh visitors, including students, residents, authors, and VIPs.

Traffic restrictions will be in place daily from 9 am to 10 pm. The Deccan Traffic Division will manage the flow mainly on FC Road and Jangli Maharaj Road, which are anticipated to experience heavy pedestrian and vehicle activity.
Vehicles heading towards Karve Road via Jangli Maharaj Road will be diverted at Balgandharva Chowk and routed through Riverside Road and Mahadev Mandir Road. Vehicles travelling from Karve Road to Shivajinagar via FC Road will be redirected via Nalstop, Law College Road, and Senapati Bapat Road.

For parking management, vehicles may enter the Ferguson College parking ground only through Gate No. 3 near Sant Tukaram Paduka Chowk, with exits through Gate No. 4. Gate No. 2 will remain accessible only to pedestrians. Free parking has been arranged at Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce and at the Pune Municipal Corporation parking lot near Gate No. 2.
Authorities have urged citizens to follow the diversions, cooperate with traffic personnel, and use alternate routes during festival hours to avoid congestion. Commuters are also advised to plan their travel in advance, as the areas surrounding FC Road are expected to be heavily crowded throughout the event.
