Uber is expanding its limited-edition Intercity Motorhomes to Pune and Mumbai from October 15, offering travellers a premium, home-on-wheels road experience.

Pune, October 10, 2025: Uber is taking a bold step in the long-distance travel space by introducing its Intercity Motorhome service in Pune, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, starting October 15, 2025. Following a successful pilot in Delhi NCR, the company is now offering caravan-style road travel that blends mobility with the comfort of a mini home on wheels.

Each motorhome is designed to seat 4–5 passengers and comes equipped with amenities such as a television, microwave, mini refrigerator, lavatory, and lounge-style seating. The concept is to let travellers cover long distances while enjoying rest and privacy, eliminating the need for separate hotel stops. Drivers and helpers accompany each motorhome trip to assist with logistics and stops along the way.

Bookings open on October 13 through Uber’s Reserve platform. Passengers will have the flexibility to add stops, track journeys in real time, and access 24×7 support. Because of the premium nature of this offering, travellers are advised to reserve at least 48 hours in advance to ensure availability.

Uber’s decision to roll out motorhomes beyond Delhi reflects growing demand for comfortable, private road travel options — especially during weekends, festivals, or for family visits. In its pilot run in Delhi, the service reportedly saw 100% occupancy, demonstrating strong appeal.

This expansion comes as Indian intercity travel evolves — with more travellers preferring road journeys supplemented by flexibility and comfort. The motorhome service bridges the gap between conventional bus or cab travel and self-driven vacations, while opening new possibilities for experiential road trips.

As the service launches, key metrics to watch will include pricing, route coverage, demand patterns, and how this model influences Uber’s wider intercity mobility strategy.
