Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath intervened personally to ensure school enrollment and monthly financial assistance for two orphan brothers, transforming their prospects within hours.

Lucknow|February 11, 2026: In a compelling example of rapid government action, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s direct intervention has changed the lives of two orphaned brothers in Lakhimpur Kheri, securing both their return to education and essential financial support. The boys, Shivansh and Ajay Kumar, lost both parents in 2018 and had struggled with basic necessities and schooling before the state leadership stepped in this week.

During a recent public outreach event in Lucknow, the boys shared their desperate situation with the Chief Minister, prompting immediate instructions to the district administration to support them. Within hours, the local authorities facilitated their school admissions, ensuring their educational journey could continue without further delay.

Authorities also processed the siblings’ application under a government sponsorship scheme, securing monthly financial aid of ₹4,000 each, designed to cover essential living and schooling-related expenses. This support aligns with state efforts to back vulnerable children through targeted assistance mechanisms. As part of the comprehensive support package, the boys received ₹50,000 in cash aid, food supplies, and a kit containing school supplies and basic items such as uniforms, shoes, and blankets. Their transition back to everyday life was further eased by a government vehicle escorting them home after formalities were completed.

District officials highlighted that the initiative aims not only to address the immediate needs of the brothers but also to connect them with broader government welfare schemes to ensure sustained support. Efforts include converting their ration card status to enhance food security and initiating linkage with additional educational and child welfare programs.

Local education advocates applauded the fast-tracked process, noting that swift actions like these can provide timely relief and reaffirm the state’s commitment to protect and uplift children who have experienced profound loss. The move underscores a larger intent by the Uttar Pradesh government to strengthen social safety nets and education inclusion for vulnerable youth.
