Mumbai, October 26, 2025 – Veteran actor Satish Shah, known for his impeccable comic timing and memorable performances in television and film, passed away on October 25, 2025, at the age of 74 due to kidney failure at Mumbai’s Hinduja Hospital, as confirmed by filmmaker Ashoke Pandit. Shah’s illustrious career spanned several decades, earning him a special place in the hearts of audiences. He was best remembered for his portrayal of Indravadan Sarabhai in the popular sitcom Sarabhai vs Sarabhai. His film career included notable works such as Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om, and Hum Saath Saath Hain, which further cemented his legacy in Bollywood.
In a poignant turn of events, Shah’s last post on X (formerly Twitter) was a tribute to the late actor Shammi Kapoor, who had also succumbed to kidney failure in 2011. Shah shared a picture with Kapoor, writing, “Happy B’day dearest Shammi ji. You are always around me,” reflecting his deep respect and connection to the legends of Indian cinema. He is survived by his wife, designer Madhu Shah.
