Mumbai | November 07, 2025: Veteran singer and actress Sulakshana Pandit passed away on November 6, 2025, at the age of 71. She died at Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai after battling illness.
Born in 1954 into a prominent musical family, Pandit was known for her melodious voice and appearances in films during the 1970s and 1980s. She made her playback singing debut as a child and went on to perform both as singer and as an actor, most notably starring opposite Sanjeev Kumar in films such as Uljhan (1975).
Her brother, music composer Lalit Pandit, confirmed her passing. Reports say she had been unwell for some time.

Pandit remained unmarried throughout her life and was part of the legendary Pandit-Jasraj musical lineage.Her career earned her recognition for both her singing and acting roles — feats that made a lasting impression in the world of Hindi cinema and music.
