New Delhi | 16 December 2025:In a grand Vijay Diwas celebration at Army House, New Delhi, the Indian Army commemorated its decisive victory in the 1971 war by showcasing a wide range of indigenous technologies and innovations. The event was graced by President Smt Droupadi Murmu, alongside 73 Ambassadors and High Commissioners, Gallantry Award winners, sportspersons, achievers, and senior Indian leadership, highlighting India’s growing global defence engagement and confidence in homegrown capabilities.

The exhibition featured advanced AI systems, including a satellite imagery analysis tool for rapid ground assessment and a portable “AI-in-a-Box” system designed to operate in remote, network-free locations. Ekam AI, India’s secure indigenous platform, allows personnel to analyse sensitive data independently, ensuring complete digital sovereignty.

In defence innovations, the Army presented an indigenously developed drone analysis tool, an advanced truss bridge for rapid connectivity restoration, and an all-terrain vehicle tailored for steep and rugged mountain tracks. Eco-conscious developments included trackways made from recycled plastic, a silent electric tactical vehicle, and green energy initiatives such as foldable concrete structures and green hydrogen power projects in Ladakh.

Other highlights included a critical component for night-vision devices manufactured domestically, firefighting robots for high-risk zones, and quick-build protective shelters for remote deployments. These innovations underline the Army’s dual focus on operational efficiency and civilian applications, including disaster relief, infrastructure support, and environmental sustainability.

The displays reinforced the Army’s humanitarian commitment as a first responder, demonstrating its role in restoring infrastructure, delivering relief supplies, and supporting civilian agencies during natural disasters. Collectively, the Vijay Diwas ‘At Home’ exhibition illustrated the Indian Army’s transformation into a modern, innovative, and self-reliant force, combining operational experience with cutting-edge Indian technology to strengthen national security and advance sustainable development goals.
