Mumbai, December 11, 2025:In a strategic move reshaping India’s sportswear market, cricket superstar Virat Kohli has sold his celebrity-led athleisure brand One8 to Bengaluru-based Agilitas Sports. At the same time, Kohli has invested ₹40 crore to acquire a 1.94% minority stake through convertible preference shares, entering a long-term partnership with the company.

Agilitas Sports, founded by former PUMA India executives, will now assume full operational control of One8, including design, manufacturing, branding, and global expansion. The Bengaluru-based firm aims to scale One8 into a fully-fledged Indian sportswear brand, leveraging its existing footwear manufacturing capabilities to compete with international players.

Kohli’s decision ensures that One8 remains at the center of his commercial identity, as he will not endorse any other sportswear brand in the future. Speaking about the deal, industry analysts note that the partnership positions One8 for global growth while allowing Kohli to maintain a strategic stake without day-to-day operational involvement.

The move reflects a broader trend in India’s sportswear sector, where performance-focused brands backed by experienced operators are gaining ground. By aligning with Agilitas, One8 will benefit from structured production, distribution networks, and international market access.
