Why Did Childhood Friendship Turn Deadly in Waluj? Love Triangle Leads to Murder

In Waluj, a 22-year-old was fatally stabbed by his childhood friend over a love affair. The accused, Ritesh Narwade, was arrested in Parbhani within 24 hours

Waluj|October 10, 2025:In a tragic turn of events in Waluj, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, a longstanding childhood friendship ended in murder. Prathamesh Prabhakar Gaikwad, 22, was fatally stabbed by his close friend, Ritesh Vijay Narwade, 21.

The motive behind the crime was a love affair involving the same woman. Narwade had suspected that Gaikwad was romantically involved with the girl he liked, leading to frequent disputes between the two.

On the night of October 8, the tension escalated, and Narwade attacked Gaikwad with a knife near Lanji Road, Waluj. Gaikwad succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The incident has shocked the local community, highlighting the dangers of unresolved personal conflicts. Police have arrested Narwade in Parbhani within 24 hours of the incident. He is currently in police custody, and further investigations are underway.
