Serious allegations against Murlidhar Mohol over Pune Jain Boarding House land sale. Raju Shetty and Jain community raise concerns; CM Fadnavis responds.

Pune, Oct 17, 2025 — Political tensions have escalated in Pune over the sale of land belonging to a Jain Boarding House. The Jain community has made serious allegations against former Central Minister Murlidhar Mohol, claiming that he, along with two builders, facilitated the sale of the property. The Jain community had earlier called for a protest at the Pune District Collector’s office. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis assured that the matter would be looked into and attempted to calm the community, although Murlidhar Mohol has not issued any official statement regarding the allegations.

The land in question is located in Shivaji Nagar, Pune. The Jain Boarding House was originally established in 1958 by Hirachand Nemchand Doshi. Recently, there were plans for new development on the property, which faced opposition from some community members. The sale of the land has now become a contentious issue, with claims that Mohol was involved in facilitating the transaction. (abplive.com)

The Charity Commissioner is also alleged to have approved the sale while violating legal procedures. The land was reportedly transferred to Gokhale Construction Company, and claims suggest a connection between the builders and Murlidhar Mohol.

The controversy has sparked widespread political debate. Mohol’s recent trips to Delhi and the ongoing public discussion have further intensified the political environment in Pune. Leaders and community members are urging that the allegations be taken seriously and investigated thoroughly to protect the community’s interests.
