Mhasala, Raigad | November 3, 2025 – A disturbing case of domestic violence has come to light from Mhasala taluka in Raigad district, where two sons allegedly murdered their aged parents following a bitter property dispute. The victims, identified as Mahadev Balya Kambale (95) and Vithabai Mahadev Kambale (83), were found dead inside their home in Menddi village. The Mhasala Police have arrested both sons after preliminary evidence confirmed their involvement.
According to the police, the accused had frequent arguments with their parents regarding ancestral property and division of land. Investigators said signs of struggle were evident inside the house. The elderly couple appeared to have been attacked during an argument that turned violent. The police immediately registered a murder case and detained both sons for questioning. Their statements and other evidence pointed toward premeditated intent driven by greed and frustration over property ownership.

Superintendent of Police, Raigad, has stated that the murder reflects a growing concern over family disputes escalating into violence, particularly involving elderly parents. Authorities have urged residents to resolve property issues legally and to report signs of domestic abuse before they turn fatal.
This shocking double murder has created panic in the Menddi village area. Locals are stunned that two sons could turn against their own parents in such a brutal manner. Police have promised a swift investigation and strict punishment for the accused.
