UPSC Civil Services Exam 2025 Results Declared; Anuj Agnihotri Secures All India Rank 1

New Delhi | 6 March, 2026: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Friday announced the final results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025, bringing an end to one of India’s most competitive recruitment processes for top administrative services. This year, Anuj Agnihotri secured the first position in the national merit list.

Rajeshwari Suve M secured the second rank, emerging as the highest-ranked woman candidate, while Akansh Dhull achieved the third position in the prestigious examination. The final merit list has been released on the official UPSC website and includes the names and roll numbers of successful candidates.

According to the commission, a total of 958 candidates have been recommended for appointment to various civil services, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Foreign Service (IFS). The results are based on the combined performance of candidates in the written main examination and the personality test conducted by the commission.

Anuj Agnihotri, who topped the examination, hails from Rawatbhata in Rajasthan and holds an MBBS degree from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Jodhpur. His academic background and disciplined preparation played a key role in achieving the top rank in the highly competitive exam. The Civil Services Examination is conducted annually in three stages preliminary, main examination and interview to select officers for India’s key administrative services. The 2025 cycle began with the preliminary examination last year, followed by the mains in August and interviews held until early 2026.

With the declaration of results, the selected candidates will now proceed to training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration before being allocated their respective services and cadres.
