Pune Regional Passport Office Announces Special Saturday Drive on June 6 for Urgent Applicants

In a major relief for citizens facing urgent travel timelines, the Regional Passport Office Pune has announced a comprehensive day-long Special Passport Drive scheduled for this coming Saturday to clear pending backlogs.

The Regional Passport Office (RPO) Pune has officially announced a Special Passport Drive to be conducted on June 6, 2026. Aimed specifically at easing the high demand for passport services and facilitating citizens with imminent international travel plans, the authorities will release a substantial volume of additional appointment slots for the public.

According to senior passport officials, the single-day initiative is designed to accommodate both fresh applicants and those seeking a re-issue of their expired or expiring travel documents. Crucially, the drive will process applications under both the Normal and Tatkaal categories, providing a critical window for individuals who require expedited processing.

The RPO has issued a strict advisory regarding documentation to ensure seamless operations during the weekend drive. Normal category applicants are urged to meticulously cross-check their original identification, address proofs, and supporting materials prior to arriving at the venue, as incomplete or inaccurate applications will experience processing bottlenecks. Similarly, a high alert has been sounded for Tatkaal applicants. Given the urgent nature of Tatkaal processing, authorities warned that failure to comply with the stringent supplementary documentation guidelines will lead to immediate application rejection or severe procedural delays.

To secure a slot, prospective applicants must log into the official Passport India portal or utilize the mPassport Seva mobile application. The appointment booking architecture requires the completion of the online fee payment before a time slot can be locked. While booking, citizens must specifically select “PSK Pune” as their designated appointment location.

The special drive will take place this Saturday, June 6, at the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) Pune. The facility will operate with full staff strength from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm to handle the enhanced applicant volume.
