Delivery Executive Booked for Obstructing Police Constable Near Shaniwar Wada

A 19-year-old delivery executive has been booked by Faraskhana Police after allegedly obstructing a constable who intervened in a roadside dispute involving a woman near Shaniwar Wada in Pune.

Pune: Faraskhana Police have registered a case against 19-year-old delivery executive Aryan Ajit Sawant in connection with an incident involving a police constable near Shaniwar Wada. The incident took place on Saturday.

According to police, Police Constable Vaibhav Yesade, attached to the Kasba Peth police chowky, noticed an argument taking place on the road and stepped in to resolve the situation. Sawant allegedly reacted strongly to the constable’s intervention and obstructed him from carrying out his official duty.

Based on a complaint filed by Constable Yesade, a case has been registered against Sawant for allegedly obstructing a public servant from discharging his official duties. Police said the matter is currently under investigation to establish the exact sequence of events.

Authorities are also looking into the circumstances that led to the initial dispute on the road. No arrests have been reported so far, and police are expected to record further statements as the probe continues.
