Apple’s Foldable iPhone Leaks Ahead of Launch, Comparison Video Reveals Ultra-Thin Design

A leaked hands-on comparison video has surfaced online showing Apple’s first foldable iPhone dummy unit beside a rival device, revealing slim dimensions and premium design details.

Cupertino | April 29, 2026: Apple’s long-rumoured foldable iPhone has generated fresh excitement after a leaked comparison video surfaced online months before its expected official launch. The clip reportedly showcases a dummy model of the device, offering one of the clearest looks yet at what could become Apple’s first foldable smartphone.

According to reports, the foldable iPhone widely referred to as the iPhone Fold or iPhone Ultra was compared with the Huawei Pura X Max, another book-style foldable handset. The video suggests Apple may adopt a wider aspect ratio design rather than the taller foldable style seen in many competing Android devices.

Leaks indicate the upcoming Apple foldable could feature a 5.5-inch outer OLED display and a 7.8-inch inner screen when unfolded. The device is also tipped to be exceptionally thin, measuring around 4.5mm to 4.7mm when open and approximately 9.2mm to 9.6mm when folded, making it one of the slimmest foldables in the premium segment.

Apple is also said to be working on reducing or nearly eliminating the visible crease commonly found on foldable displays. Reports suggest the company may use ultra-thin glass, optically clear adhesive technology, and a liquid metal hinge to improve durability and screen smoothness. On the performance side, the device is expected to run on Apple’s next-generation A20 Pro chip, reportedly based on a 2nm manufacturing process. It may also include 12GB RAM to support advanced on-device AI features expected in upcoming Apple Intelligence upgrades.

Industry watchers believe the foldable iPhone could debut during Apple’s September 2026 launch event alongside the next iPhone Pro lineup. Pricing is expected to begin above $2,000, placing it firmly in the ultra-premium category.
