BGMI 4.4 Update Rolls Out In India With Hero’s Crown Mode And Major Gameplay Changes

KRAFTON India has officially released the BGMI 4.4 update for Android users, introducing the all-new Hero’s Crown mode, redesigned maps, combat trials, flying abilities, and visual upgrades.

May 20, 2026 | New Delhi: KRAFTON India has officially started rolling out the much-awaited BGMI 4.4 update for Android users across the country, bringing a major gameplay overhaul along with several new features, visual improvements, and a fresh Hero’s Crown-themed mode for players.

The latest update is being released in phases through the Google Play Store to prevent server overload due to the massive number of downloads expected nationwide. According to rollout details, Android users began receiving the update from early morning, while complete availability for all users is expected by midday. iOS users are also expected to receive the update later in the day through the Apple App Store.

One of the biggest highlights of Version 4.4 is the introduction of the new “Hero’s Crown” mode, which completely transforms parts of the Erangel map with mythology-inspired battlegrounds, giant marble temples, redesigned structures, and fantasy combat arenas. Popular locations such as Ruins and Ferry Pier have received major visual changes as part of the update.

The update also introduces a floating island called “Crown’s Abode,” designed as a high-risk, high-reward loot zone where players can access premium supplies and additional recall opportunities during matches. New Sun Chariots and special boss fights have also been added to create a more immersive combat experience.

Apart from visual upgrades, BGMI 4.4 introduces several new combat trials, including Spartan’s Trial, Icarus’ Trial, and Achilles’ Trial. These special trials provide temporary powers such as flying abilities, enhanced attacks, and defensive buffs, adding new strategic elements to gameplay.

Gaming enthusiasts across India have welcomed the update, with many players praising the refreshed gameplay mechanics and fantasy-inspired features. The update is expected to significantly boost user engagement and competitive gameplay within the BGMI community over the coming weeks.
