Pune | June 16, 2026: In an effort to promote environmental conservation and public awareness around river cleanliness, a large-scale clean-up campaign was organised along the Mutha riverbed in Pune through the joint initiative of the Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust and Swastik Eco Energy. The drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from environmental volunteers and local citizens committed to restoring the river’s ecosystem.

The cleanliness campaign, aimed at fostering a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future, received an encouraging response from residents and civic-minded groups across the city. Volunteers actively participated in removing waste and debris from the riverbed, underlining the growing concern around pollution and ecological preservation.

Organisers stated that the initiative was designed not only to clean the river but also to create awareness among citizens regarding environmental sustainability and the importance of preserving natural water bodies. The campaign brought together multiple organisations, including the Good Morning Group, Katraj, and the H.V. Desai Competitive Exams Centre, all of whom played an active role in supporting the initiative.

A total of 73 environmental enthusiasts reportedly participated in the cleanliness drive, contributing through voluntary labour to remove garbage and improve the condition of the Mutha riverbed. Participants expressed their willingness to continue engaging in similar environmental efforts in the future, emphasising the importance of collective action in addressing urban environmental challenges.

The organisers extended their gratitude to volunteers, supporting institutions, and participants for their contribution to the initiative. They also stressed the need for sustained public participation and collaborative efforts to protect the environment and ensure cleaner rivers for future generations.
