Rajgurunagar | March 24, 2026: Devendra Fadnavis is set to inaugurate a special exhibition in Rajgurunagar on March 24 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the iconic national song ‘Vande Mataram’.

The event will be held at Shalimar Palace in Shiroli, located in Khed taluka, and will run from 10 am to 5 pm. The programme will feature a blend of cultural performances and an informative exhibition aimed at celebrating India’s rich freedom movement legacy.

The exhibition is being jointly organised by the Directorate of Cultural Affairs, the district administration and the Rajgurunagar Municipal Council. Officials said the initiative is designed to instil a sense of patriotism among the youth while also creating awareness about India’s struggle for independence.

Visitors will get an opportunity to explore a wide range of exhibits, including rare photographs and detailed informational displays highlighting key moments and figures from the independence movement. The exhibition aims to provide an engaging and educational experience, especially for students and young attendees.

A key highlight of the event will be cultural performances by local artists, centred around patriotic themes. These performances are expected to add a vibrant dimension to the programme while reinforcing the spirit of nationalism and pride.

The exhibition will also pay tribute to legendary revolutionaries such as Shivram Hari Rajguru, Sukhdev Thapar and Bhagat Singh, whose sacrifices played a crucial role in India’s fight for independence. Their contributions will be highlighted through curated displays and educational material.
