Khandesh community in Navi Mumbai will host its annual Snehamelava in Kharghar on April 12, bringing residents together for cultural activities, interaction, and community bonding.

April 8, 2026 | Kharghar: The Khandesh community residing in Kharghar, Panvel, and Navi Mumbai is set to come together for its much-awaited annual Snehamelava on Sunday, April 12, 2026. The event will be held from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm in Kharghar and is expected to witness enthusiastic participation from families across the region. Organised as a platform to strengthen cultural ties and foster unity among community members, the gathering has already generated a buzz among residents. The event will be inaugurated by Maharashtra’s Minister for Water Resources and Disaster Management, Girish Mahajan, while MLA Prashant Thakur will preside over the समारोह. Several distinguished guests from different fields are also expected to attend and interact with the attendees.
The day-long programme has been carefully planned to include a variety of engaging activities for all age groups. The schedule includes a formal welcome ceremony, breakfast, family-oriented games, and insightful addresses by invited guests. A community lunch and multiple competitions have also been arranged to encourage participation and create a festive atmosphere.

The event will take place at Shri Leva Patidar AC Hall, located in Sector 5 near Saraswati College in Kharghar. Organisers from the Khandesh Snehamelava Committee have extended an open invitation to all members of the Khandesh community in the region, urging them to be part of the celebration. With a blend of cultural engagement, social interaction, and entertainment, the Snehamelava aims to reinforce community spirit and provide a meaningful opportunity for people to reconnect and celebrate their shared heritage.
