May 1, 2026 | Mumbai: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) will declare the Class 12 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination results on Saturday, May 2, at 1:00 PM. The announcement will bring an end to the long wait for lakhs of students across the state who appeared for the board examinations this year. According to officials, the results will be made available online, allowing students to access their marksheets through the official portals. Students are advised to keep their roll numbers and other required details ready to avoid delays while checking the results.

The HSC result is considered one of the most crucial academic milestones for students in Maharashtra, as it plays a key role in determining eligibility for admissions into undergraduate programmes, including arts, commerce, science, engineering, medical, and other professional courses. Educational institutions and admission authorities are expected to begin their processes shortly after the declaration. With the announcement scheduled for early afternoon, schools are also preparing to assist students in case of technical issues while accessing the online results. The board has urged students to rely only on official websites and verified sources to avoid misinformation and fraudulent links.

This year’s HSC examinations were conducted across multiple centres under strict guidelines. The Maharashtra board has been focusing on timely evaluation and faster result processing to ensure that the academic calendar for colleges and universities remains on track. Once the results are declared, students will be able to download and print their provisional marksheets online. The original marksheets will be distributed later through respective schools and junior colleges.

Students who are not satisfied with their marks will also have the option to apply for re-evaluation or verification as per the board’s schedule, which will be announced after the results are released.
