Three Held After Man Is Allegedly Attacked With Hammer in Pimpri Over Family Dispute

Pimpri Police arrested one man and two women after a man was allegedly attacked with an iron hammer during a family dispute in Buddh Nagar.

Pimpri, September 17, 2026: A family dispute in Pimpri’s Buddh Nagar area allegedly turned violent after a man was attacked with an iron hammer in the early hours of September 15. Pimpri Police have arrested one man and two women in connection with the case.

According to police, the dispute had reportedly been continuing for around six months. The victim was allegedly assaulted after an argument linked to suspicions regarding his character.

Attack Reportedly Took Place Early Morning

The incident reportedly occurred at around 3:30 am on September 15 in the Buddh Nagar area of Pimpri.

Police said the victim was allegedly confronted by the accused and initially assaulted. The complaint states that an iron hammer was then allegedly used to strike him, leaving him seriously injured. He was subsequently taken to a hospital for treatment.

Two Women Among Those Arrested

Following the incident, the victim’s 30-year-old sister approached Pimpri Police and filed a complaint.

Based on the complaint, police registered a case and arrested Akash Anil Khandagale, 32, of Buddh Nagar, along with two women aged 50 and 28.

Police are investigating the individual roles of all three accused and the circumstances surrounding the alleged assault.

Investigation Underway

The police investigation is continuing, with officials examining the circumstances that led to the alleged attack and the dispute preceding the incident.

Authorities are also looking into the sequence of events and the involvement of the three arrested individuals.
