Several areas in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad will face a complete water cut on 30 October due to repair and maintenance work. Citizens are advised to store water in advance.

Pune, October 29, 2025 – The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) have announced a planned water cut on Wednesday, 30 October, across multiple parts of the city. The temporary shutdown is scheduled to allow essential repair and maintenance work on main pipelines and water supply systems.

In Pune, the Parvati water treatment plant’s main supply line will undergo urgent maintenance, resulting in water cuts across major areas. These include Ramtekdi Industrial Area, Sayyed Nagar, Heaven Park, Shankar Math, Vaiduwadi, Ramnagar, Anand Nagar, Hadapsar Gavthan, Satavwadi, Gondhal Nagar, Sasanenagar, Kalepadal, Mundhwa, Malwadi, Solapur Road, B.T. Kavde Road, Bhimnagar, Koregaon Park, and nearby localities like Fursungi, Uruli Devachi, Bhekarainagar, Mantarwadi, and Baker Hill Tanki.

In Pimpri-Chinchwad, the shutdown will affect regions where water pipelines are being relocated due to ongoing Metro construction. Areas such as Nehru Nagar, Sant Tukaram Nagar, Mahesh Nagar, Ganganagar, Vallabh Nagar, Kasarwadi, Fugewadi, and parts of Chikhli including Hargude Vasti, Pawar Vasti, Kudalwadi, and Jadhavwadi will experience disruption.

Civic officials have advised residents in affected zones to store enough water for essential household needs and avoid wastage during the maintenance period. Supply is expected to resume gradually after the completion of the work. The municipal corporations have also urged citizens to cooperate and plan water usage wisely, as such maintenance activities are necessary to ensure uninterrupted supply and prevent leakages in the future.

Authorities confirmed that the repair and inspection work will be completed on schedule and that normal water supply will be restored by late evening on the following day. Meanwhile, tanker supply will not be available in most areas during the shutdown, so residents are advised to make necessary arrangements in advance.
