Pune | 24 February, 2026- A tragic incident took place in Pune’s Viman Nagar area when a woman lost her life after allegedly jumping from a first-floor window during a police raid at a spa centre. The incident occurred in the afternoon when law enforcement officials conducted a surprise inspection following specific intelligence inputs about suspected illegal activities operating under the guise of a wellness facility.

According to police officials, as officers entered the premises, panic reportedly spread among individuals inside the spa. In an apparent attempt to escape, the woman and the spa manager jumped from a window on the first floor of the building. Both sustained serious injuries in the fall and were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. While doctors attempted emergency treatment, the woman succumbed to her injuries. The spa manager, who was also injured in the fall, is currently undergoing medical treatment and is reported to be in stable condition.

During the operation, several women present at the spa were taken into protective custody for questioning as part of the investigation.
