At the 2025 Pushkar Fair, a buffalo valued at ₹23 crore and a Marwari stallion priced at ₹15 crore grab attention, highlighting the extravagance and livestock trading frenzy of the annual event.
Pushkar (Rajasthan) | October 28, 2025: The Pushkar Fair, held each year in Ajmer district’s desert town of Pushkar, is once again making national headlines—in 2025 for not just its cultural colour, but for extraordinary livestock valuations.
Among the standout attractions this year are a buffalo named “Anmol” priced at an astonishing ₹23 crore, and a two-and-a-half-year-old Marwari stallion called “Shahbaz” valued at ₹15 crore.
Registrations show thousands of animals on display, but it is these high-value specimens that have visitors, traders and media talking. Anmol reportedly weighs around 1,500 kg and is treated like royalty—fed milk, ghee and dry fruits. Shahbaz, from Chandigarh, is already a show-winner, and his breeding potential draws elite interest.

Organisers say the fair serves both tradition and commerce: it blends the spiritual significance of Pushkar with modern livestock trade. The spectacle of multimillion-rupee animals draws global attention and underscores a growing luxury livestock market in India’s premium cultural fairs.
Despite the glam-valve, officials emphasise animal health and registration. Veterinary checks, entry tags and strict monitoring are in place as thousands of camels, horses and cattle converge for trading, contests and sightseeing.
With such headline-making valuations, this edition of the Pushkar Fair is poised to redefine perceptions of livestock value and cultural economy.
