Raksha Rajya Mantri Highlights Role of Veterans as ‘Brand Ambassadors of Viksit Bharat’ at Job Fair

Raksha Rajya Mantri Sanjay Seth called veterans “Brand Ambassadors of Viksit Bharat” at a Delhi Job Fair, where 1,500 ESM explored 750+ vacancies offered by 40 companies across various sectors.
New Delhi |August 29, 2025: Raksha Rajya Mantri Sanjay Seth reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the welfare of Ex-Servicemen (ESM), calling them “Brand Ambassadors of Viksit Bharat” during the inaugural ceremony of a Job Fair for ESM at Shankar Vihar Military Station. The event was organised by the Directorate General of Resettlement, Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, Ministry of Defence.
Seth expressed confidence that the dedication and valour displayed by veterans during service would contribute to the growth of companies hiring them. Over 1,500 ESM registered for the fair, which featured participation from 40 companies offering more than 750 vacancies. Roles included supervisory, technical support, junior to senior management, and administrative positions. Shortlisted candidates will undergo interviews and screening before placement.

This was the fourth of 18 such fairs scheduled across the country this year. The initiative benefits both veterans and corporates, giving ESM a platform to showcase their technical and administrative expertise while enabling companies to access a disciplined and skilled workforce.

The event also featured addresses from Dr. Niten Chandra, Secretary, Ex-Servicemen Welfare; Lt Gen Bhavnish Kumar, GOC Delhi Area; and Maj Gen SBK Singh, Director General (Resettlement). Mr. Ramesh K., DG of SIDM, attended as the Corporate Guest of Honour.
