Over 50 Pune alumni to showcase artworks at “Reflections” exhibition from April 23–25 at Balgandharva Art Gallery, open to public.

Pune, April 21, 2026: A unique blend of nostalgia and creativity will come alive in the city as more than 50 former students of Seth Dagduram Katariya High School come together to present an art exhibition titled “Reflections” at the iconic Balgandharva Art Gallery. The three-day exhibition, scheduled from April 23 to 25, will showcase the artistic journey of alumni from batches spanning 1986 to 2007, united by their shared passion for visual arts.

Organised under the banner of the ‘Katariyans Art Group’, the exhibition reflects years of continued connection among these alumni, many of whom pursued different professional paths but never let go of their love for art. From sketches and watercolor paintings to diverse visual expressions, the display promises a rich and personal collection inspired by memories, life experiences, and creative exploration.

The exhibition will be inaugurated on April 23 at 11 am in the presence of distinguished guests including Naval Kishore Ram, Commissioner of Pune Municipal Corporation; Nachiket Thakur, Pro Vice Chancellor of MIT Art, Design and Technology University; and noted Marathi actress Rujuta Deshmukh. Their presence is expected to add further significance to the event, highlighting the importance of community-driven artistic initiatives.

A special aspect of the exhibition is the shared foundation of the participating artists, all of whom were guided during their school years by their art teacher Shailaja Pathak. Her mentorship played a key role in nurturing their early interest in art, which continues to resonate through their work today.

The exhibition will remain open to visitors from 10:00 am to 7:30 pm each day, offering art enthusiasts an opportunity to engage with a diverse range of creative expressions. Organisers have extended an open invitation to Pune residents, encouraging them to visit, appreciate the artworks, and support local talent.

“Reflections” is more than just an art exhibition; it is a celebration of lasting friendships, shared roots, and the enduring power of creativity. For Pune’s art lovers, it promises an experience that blends emotion, memory, and artistic expression in one space.
