His career T20I tally includes 4231 runs at an average of 32.01 and a strike‑rate of 140.89 statistics that underscore his enduring impact on the game.

On being appointed ambassador, Rohit expressed gratitude and pride: “It’s a huge honour to be named ambassador for this World Cup,” he said, acknowledging the trust placed in him despite stepping away from the T20 format.
As ambassador, Rohit is expected to play a key role in promoting the tournament, engaging with cricket fans worldwide, and supporting ICC initiatives aimed at growing the sport. His involvement also adds a powerful legacy element to the 2026 World Cup, linking past glories with future aspirations.
With the World Cup returning to India and Sri Lanka, Rohit’s association is likely to boost fan excitement and stir anticipation across cricketing nations.
