Young Man Stabbed to Death Over Old Dispute in Yavatmal, Incident Near Hindu Crematorium on Nagpur Road

A young man was brutally stabbed to death in Yavatmal near the Hindu crematorium on Nagpur Road due to an old dispute. Police have launched an investigation and are searching for the accused.

Yavatmal | October 15, 2025 :- A shocking incident has been reported from Yavatmal, where a 25-year-old man was brutally stabbed to death over an old dispute. The incident took place near the Hindu crematorium on Nagpur Road, spreading panic among local residents.

The deceased has been identified as Sajjad Ali Akbar Ali, a resident of the Kumbharpura area in Yavatmal. According to police reports, Sajjad had a long-standing conflict with a group of local men. On Tuesday night, the quarrel escalated when one of the accused allegedly attacked him with a sharp knife near the crematorium. Sajjad sustained severe injuries and collapsed at the scene.

Locals rushed him to Yavatmal District Government Hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. His death has left the community in shock, and tension prevailed in the area following the brutal killing.

Police from Yavatmal City Police Station immediately reached the spot and initiated an investigation. A search operation has been launched to trace the accused involved in the attack. Authorities suspect that the motive behind the murder was revenge linked to the earlier dispute between the two parties.

Police officials said that CCTV footage from nearby areas is being examined to identify the culprits. They have assured that the accused will be arrested soon and brought to justice.

The victim’s family has demanded strict action and justice for Sajjad, appealing to police to ensure that such crimes do not recur in the area. Community leaders have also urged locals to maintain peace and avoid spreading rumors.

Meanwhile, the police have increased patrolling in sensitive areas of Yavatmal to prevent any untoward incidents. Senior officers are closely monitoring the investigation.
