The Pune Book Festival 2025 will take place from December 13 to 21 at Fergusson College Grounds, featuring 800 stalls, literature sessions, children’s events, food stalls, and vibrant cultural performances.
Pune | October 18, 2025: The Pune Book Festival 2025 is set to make a grand comeback from December 13 to 21 at the Fergusson College Grounds. Returning for its third edition, the festival aims to celebrate reading, culture, and creativity on a much larger scale this year.
Organized by the National Book Trust (NBT) and supported by Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune Municipal Corporation, Deccan Education Society, and the Maharashtra State Cultural Department, the festival will feature over 800 book stalls offering literature in various Indian languages.

The event will also host a six-day literature festival, with three days focused on Marathi literature and the remaining three on other Indian languages. Alongside book launches and author sessions, visitors can enjoy cultural performances, painting and elocution contests, creative workshops, and a photography competition themed “Joy of Reading.”
With over 1.5 million visitors expected and a projected turnover of several crores, the Pune Book Festival 2025 is shaping up to be one of the largest literary gatherings in India. The festival will be inaugurated by a prominent national personality on December 13.
