Exercise Trishul’s final phase at Madhavpur Beach highlighted India’s joint combat readiness through coordinated amphibious operations involving Army, Navy and Air Force, reviewed by top commanders from all three services.

Madhavpur Beach, Gujarat | November 14, 2025: The final phase of Exercise Trishul brought a strong display of joint military capability to Madhavpur Beach, where a coordinated amphibious landing operation was carried out by the Indian Armed Forces. Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Southern Command, reviewed the high-intensity manoeuvres, which combined land, air and maritime elements in a unified operational setting.

Exercise Trishul has been underway across multiple strategic locations, including the Western Seaboard, the Desert Sector and the Rann and Creek belt. The training cycle focused on large-scale, multi-domain operations meant to sharpen the combined warfighting edge of the Army, Navy and Air Force. Commanders described it as one of the most integrated joint exercises executed in recent months.

During the review, the Army Commander boarded INS Jalashwa, the Navy’s primary amphibious platform. He assessed the readiness of amphibious troops alongside Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief Western Naval Command, and Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief South Western Air Command. The commanders monitored the beaching sequence that began with the landing of an infantry platoon and a tank transported by a Landing Craft Mechanised. The operation tested the forces’ ability to push combat power from sea to shore under realistic conditions.

The drill showed smooth coordination between the services, supported by air cover, naval platforms, and ground units working in sync. Officials said the aim was to validate rapid deployment skills and refine interoperability during fast-moving scenarios.

Lt Gen Seth praised the professionalism and teamwork displayed by all participating personnel. He noted that the exercise reflects India’s growing strength in multi-domain operations, its improved technological integration and its commitment to building self-reliant defence capabilities.

The successful completion of Exercise Trishul reinforces India’s readiness to respond to complex security challenges with a joint, unified approach.
